Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was a statesman who served as the 16th President of the United States of America. During his terms in office, he helped hold the nation together and grant freedom to those who were oppressed.
Apart from leading the U.S. through the Civil War, he also made a few cameos in Teen Titans Go!.
Born and raised in a log cabin in Kentucky, Abraham grew up reading books and writing poetry. He valued getting an education (mostly self taught) over the hard labor of frontier life. He earned the nickname "Honest Abe" for his many honorable acts, such as running many miles just to give the a customer the right amount of change. After serving in the militia, working as a lawyer, and practicing politics, he eventually ascended to the Presidency of the United States. It was here that his legacy truly took roots; under his leadership, a violent Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy was brought to an end, and slavery was abolished.
Sometime later, POTUS 16 actually appeared in the Teen Titans Go! episode "Real Boy Adventures", where he could be seen singing Real Real Boy next to his fellow presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt).
Abe Lincoln also makes a cameo in the episode "Tower Renovation"... while Titans making plans for a new base, Beast Boy suggests to include Lincoln's personal White House room. While imagining it hanging out in the room, he gives Abe a high five.
CharacteristicsIn the two episodes that he's in, Abraham Lincoln has a slightly differing appearance in each one. The main features are present in both versions: a black suit and bow tie, as well as a black hair/beard. However, in "Real Boy Adventures", Abe lacks his top hat completely, and his undershirt is blue/gray. The other version of Lincoln in "Tower Renovation" has a brown/cream undershirt, a few streaks of gray in his hair, and a black top hat.
- The Season 4 episode "TV Knight" features a giant penny. Normally, Abraham's face would be on the 1¢, but General Zod's face has actually been plastered on the currency. It now reads "IN ZOD WE TRUST."
- It's unknown how Lincoln could've appeared in the Real Real Boy music video... he was assassinated in 1865. Since Teen Titans Go! rarely takes itself seriously, however, it probably doesn't care about this historic fact.
