In order to find out about his family history, Robin takes a DNA test and discovers he's from Babylon.
Plot
There is no missions planned for the Titans today, so they have a pancake breakfast, a pool party and watch TV at the Tower. During all this, the team keeps bringing up their relatives, sending Robin into a depression every time. His family died when he was just a boy, and so he doesn't really know anything about them, much to the other's dismay. Cyborg has a great idea, though: with DNA testing, Robin can learn all about his family! Raven warns him that his family's true history might be horrendous, but despite this, Robin submits a spit sample into Cyborg's body (much to his disgust). After cybernetic analysis, it appears that Robin's origin is from a small island called Babylon. Beast Boy jokes that maybe that's why he has baby hands, and while this infuriates Robin, he's definitely interested in exploring his homeland of Babylon...
A quick detour through Raven's portal takes the Titans to the outskirts of the city of Babylon. The team walks toward the city gates, only to be stopped by very diligent guards. The king of Babylon is immediately summoned, the baby-mouthed and appropriately named Lord Babymouth. His baby talk makes the Titans erupt in laughter, which does not please the king, or his translator, Baby Ear (so named for his baby-sized ears). Apparently, all Babylonian citizens have some sort of baby feature. And for their insolence towards their baby traits, Lord Babymouth sentences them to life... in the baby pen! However, Robin removes one of his green gloves, revealing that he's one of them with his baby hands. Astonished, Baby Ear says that Lord Babymouth revokes their prison sentence, and instead invites them to a feast!
The Titans enter the massive Babylonian dining hall, where Lord Babymouth introduces several prominent citizens: Baby Feet, an excellent light-footed dancer, Baby Gums (Beast Boy finds her very hot, yet sort of strange for teething on him), and Baby Grip, who nearly rips Starfire's hair from her head. The team is pretty creeped out by the baby-featured Babylon citizens, but before they can convince Robin to leave, Lord Babymouth has an announcement: Operation Baby Food is about to begin...
With the click of a button, Baby Ear reveals a gigantic baby rattle laser that will turn all of the world's food into baby food. That doesn't seem too bad to Robin, before he learns that the baby food will turn everyone into babies—forever! The Titans rush the king and his translator, but are instantly trapped in high chairs. Unable to resist Baby Ear's "Planey-plane" and "choo choo train" and the "Hungry pig" baby talk, Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven and Cyborg eat the baby food and are downsized into helpless babies. The rest of the world soon follows, falling victim to the baby food-induced regression.
Robin regrets ever taking the DNA test, but he and the tiny Titans aren't about to give up yet. Despite their small size, the team charges at Babymouth and Baby Ear, hitting them with toy blocks, a bottle, and a Cyborg-transformed big wheel. For the finishing blow, Robin stuffs a pacifier into Babymouth's mouth, and he collapses onto the floor, crushing Baby Ear. Robin swiftly smashes the remote, which destroys the baby rattle laser!
Back at Titans Tower, Robin realizes that even though his true family is no longer around, he's still got a loving family in the Teen Titans... the only problem is, they're still turned into babies, and he's gonna have to take care of them much to his dismay.
This episode premiered alongside a new ThunderCats Roar Thanksgiving episode, a new episode of The Amazing World of Gumball miniseries The Gumball Chronicles, and a new Total DramaRama Thanksgiving episode.
The title of the episode is similar to "Baby Hands", as it's based on the first new baby feature the Titans notice, in this case Baby Mouth.
Starfire and Cyborg in their baby forms now speak in caveman.
Raven is revealed to have three brothers in this episode.
Sticky Joe, Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Beat Box, Birdarang and the other Titans were the only characters to be turned into babies on-screen.
However, despite not being turned into a baby on-screen, the Sea Turtle is seen as a baby in the final few seconds of the episode.
This is so far the only time Sticky Joe appears without saying his signature phrase "Howdy!".
This episode is the second Cartoon Network episode to have DNA tests in it that week with Gumball.
This is the first episode in a while to feature the end credits music play in an episode.
Continuity
Raven is seen unhooded for the 117th time in the series.
The ending is similar to the ending of "Royal Jelly", in which, after the other Titans are turned into different forms and are trapped in that form permanently.
However, since the effects on the baby food were likely permanent, it might have been possible that there is no antidote to reverse the effects of the ray.
Since this series has loose continuity, it is safe to say that they will be reverted back to normal by the next episode.
Robin is shown to have his signature baby hands.
References
The name "Babylon" is a reference to the location Babylon in the Bible.
There's a ball next to the baby pen resembling Pixar's Luxo Ball from the short Luxo Jr., which has made cameos in many of their feature films.
Errors
Robin is shown to have been born in Babylon, but in other episodes like "Dude Relax" and "Orangins", it was stated that he grew up in the circus and that his parents died during a trapeze performance, although he could've been born there and moved away to the circus.
Baby Cyborg should not be half robot as he was originally born as a human.
Baby Beast Boy should not be green either as he was not born with mutated genes.
Running Gags
The inhabitants of Babylon having baby features.
Baby Mouth having a translator Baby Ear.
Robin crying and pitying himself for not being able to know his family whenever his friends mention their family members.
The Titans slapping Robin.
