The Black Cat is a minor character and animal that causes bad luck to anyone whom she passes by. She is an abandoned cat that has no owner, and she appears in the episode "The HIVE Five" where Jinx finds her.
Biography[]
After Cyborg ruins See More's day off, the Black Cat passes by him into the streets of Jump City walking proudly as she passes by unsuspecting civilians causing a painter to fall off his ladder, a bench to break, cars to crash, and birds running into each other. Jinx who is sucking on a lollipop notices the cat and holds her arms out for the cat to jump in, which the Black Cat does. Jinx says the cat and herself have a lot in common such as in they both are "sleek, cuddly and bad luck". The Black Cat and Jinx get along great and they go off to have fun walking along the sidewalk of town, causing fire hydrants to explode, people to have misfortune, and trees setting aflame. Both the cat and Jinx end up dancing right near a gas station eventually triggering the pumps to blow up to their obliviousness, and then go to a sunny beautiful day at the park to which their presence ended up making clouds form over the sky and start pouring rain, scaring the people off who were there, much to their enjoyment and laughter.
Still walking together with smiles on their face, the duo are interrupted by Starfire who suspects Jinx of criminal misdeeds and interrogates her if she has done anything wrong. Starfire then lays her eyes on the Black Cat in admiration pushing Jinx out the way and picking up the cat in her arms adoring her. Jinx is angered and yells at Starfire that the cat isn't hers, to which Starfire cynically asks Jinx if she "is the yours". Jinx admits the Black Cat is an "alley cat" and that no one owns her, to which Starfire responds that they will act in accordance to the law of felines, and let the cat decide who she wants to be with. Both Jinx and Starfire then try and coach the cat in-between them with sweet comments so she will come to them. Eventually the Black Cat chooses Starfire, to the joy of her and they both sing a brief Kitty song together. Starfire holds the cat once more saying how she loves the kitty knocking Jinx in a nearby garbage. The Black Cat jumps from Starfire's arms and the two walk off together content.
Physical Appearance[]
The Black Cat is a normal feline who is relatively small in size, with pitch-black fur, bright yellow eyes and bluish grey pupils. Her eyelids are purple. She has pointy ears, and two whiskers on each side of her face.
