- Do I look like I was born yesterday?
- --Gizmo (In "Opposites")
Gizmo (Mikron O'Jeneus) is the leader and member of the H.I.V.E. Five, and one of the main villains of Teen Titans Go!. He is Robin's rival, as they are both leaders of their respective teams.
He is voiced by Lauren Tom.
Bio[]
Gizmo first appears in the episode "Laundry Day", where he approached Titans Tower with his robot army in a bid to take over Jump City and place it under his rule. Later on, he spotted a nude Robin attempting to sneak back into the tower. The boy genius soon grew uncomfortable as Robin threatened to confront Gizmo despite not wearing any clothes. In order to avoid this awkward confrontation, Gizmo promised to use his robot army another time and soon fled.
In "Super Robin", Gizmo appeared with the H.I.V.E. Five, robbing a bank. Later, the Teen Titans arrive to stop them. With a single missile, Cyborg easily defeats Gizmo from behind. Gizmo joined the H.I.V.E. on their many missions to attack the city, mostly by robbing banks. He was a star player on the H.I.V.E Fivers dodgeball team in "Artful Dodgers". Gizmo is known to occasionally strike out on his own.
In "The Left Leg", he attempted to conquer Jump City with his giant robot army from Laundry Day. He is also Cyborg's most hated enemies, after Brother Blood.
In "Power Moves', he is seen destroying the city with his team, as he destroyed buildings with missiles. However, he later gets injured by a Power Move explosion.
In "Mouth Hole", he tried to shoot Robin with his death laser, but Robin defended himself by creating a whistle ray to clash with the beams of the death laser. Later, the beam from the death laser increased power, which Robin struggles to fight back. Gizmo thought for sure that he will defeat Robin, but Robin got reminded about the "steam" power the Master of Whistles taught him. Later, Robin used all his "steam" to fight the powered up laser beam, being strong enough to create a hole in the tower, which Gizmo and his death laser got blown out from.
Gizmo and the rest of the H.I.V.E. Five were in the midst of robbing Jump City Bank when they were confronted by the arrival of the Teen Titans. He confronted Cyborg in the skies and unleashed a variety of weapons to intimidate him. However, Cyborg fired a single missile which countered and defeated Gizmo.
The H.I.V.E. broke into the Jump City Museum in order to steal the Eye of Hamashabi. However, they were confronted by the Teen Titans who berated them for playing unfairly after Gizmo revealed that they set a bomb to blow up the civilians. He was scolded by this due to his appearance as a little kid, much to his anger as Jinx ordered See-More to cloak the villainous team. They were spotted by Cyborg, defeated by Raven, and scolded by Robin who said that cheaters never win.
He and the rest of the team escaped their imprisonment and joined the Dodge-ball Tournament as the H.I.V.E. Fivers with Gizmo on the starting line. They easily defeated the Titans in a dodge-ball match and soon set out to rob a bank. The Titans demanded a rematch, but Gizmo, Jinx, and Mammoth defeated them once more. With this line up, they eventually reached the finals where Gizmo remarked that the Titans' resort to cheating was unfair. However, his team was victorious until Robin called the Jump City Police Department in order to arrest them and gain victory by disqualification for the Titans.
Gizmo kept his promise to use a robot army in order to take Jump City and was soon confronted by the Titans operating inside the Titan Robot. However, due to Robin's belief that the left leg was superior, the Titans became dysfunctional and were eventually defeated by Gizmo. He goaded his inevitable victory until Robin detached the left leg from the robot and destroyed Gizmo's robot army by himself much to the villain's distraught.
Gizmo and the rest of the H.I.V.E. Five terrorized Jump City as the Titans arrived to confront them. However, Beast Boy and Cyborg volunteered to defeat the villainous team through the use of power moves. Inexplicably, Gizmo was absent during the ensuing confrontation against his team. Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. were approached by powerless Titans who decided to use everyday objects in order to combat the villainous team much to his confusion. He was slammed with a mailbox by Cyborg and tied up alongside his teammates.
When disrupting Gotham City, Gizmo was terrified at the thought that Batman himself was arriving to confront them, but overcame his shock when the Titans exited the Batmobile. He combated Beast Boy until Robin, overcome with fright at the thought of harming Batman's weapons, distracted the both of them. Gizmo recovered first and imprisoned Beast Boy with a cannon. Due to Robin, the Titans were roped together with Gizmo throwing the Ultimate Batarang in an attempt to eliminate them. However, the weapon proved to be a source of entertainment relieving Robin of his fear of Batman long enough to capture the H.I.V.E. Five, including Gizmo.[1] The Titans once again attacked the H.I.V.E. Five with Robin repeatedly attacking Gizmo with his staff. He later fled from Lady Legasus but was trapped with the superhero's attack, Scissor Slice.
Gizmo and the rest of the H.I.V.E. Five were attacked viciously by the Titans for loitering on the city bench with Robin smacking Gizmo with his staff and throwing him inside a trash can. Starfire attempted to speak out against this cruelty, but Cyborg misinterpreted her thoughts into attacking with missiles, shooting Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. in their faces. After accepting lives of peace and nonviolence, the Titans voted to share their newfound way with the H.I.V.E., but found that they would not listen with Gizmo shooting missiles at the Titans' faces in revenge. However, they were eventually attacked by kindness and accepted the Titans as friends with Gizmo singing alongside his teammates and former enemies in Starfire's song, Peace and Love.
Gizmo led the H.I.V.E. in a robbery of the Jump City Bank until he was attacked by Robin. He attacked the Boy Wonder, but was eventually defeated. However, Gizmo and his captured teammates took advantage of the Titans' argument and fled the scene. At the tower, he spotted Jinx with a balloon and inquired about it. She lied stating she stole it from a baby, but a suspicious Gizmo questioned the validity of her statement. He eventually discovered Jinx at a park with her secret boyfriend, Cyborg, but the two pretended to be engaged in combat. He rhetorically asked if he was born yesterday to which the two responded with yes. Frustrated, Gizmo led Jinx back to the tower where he attempted to cheer her up after wallowing in despair.
Jinx cried over never seeing him again, but Gizmo reminded her that she will when they attempt to kill the Titans. Jinx cried further and a geyser of tears slammed Gizmo against the wall where he gave the relationship his blessing. However, Jinx reminded him that being on opposite sides will never work out and suggested for the H.I.V.E. to turn good. Gizmo immediately vetoed the idea but was convinced by Jinx into becoming a crime-fighter. On top of a building, Gizmo noted that the nearby bank was the same one they robbed when it exploded, revealing the Titans who have shifted allegiance. Gizmo remarked that swapping sides didn't work as they were still enemies when Robin slammed him with his staff. Cyborg and Jinx argued against one another for ruining the other's plans and insulted their team's leader with Gizmo attacking Robin after he laughed at him. Eventually, Cyborg and Jinx ended their relationship and Gizmo returned the H.I.V.E. to a life of villainy. He led them from the scene and instructed Jinx to return to the tower.
Gizmo planned to transform the H.I.V.E. Tower into a space cannon. However, Robin discovered the plan and infiltrated the team by masquerading as a villain, Red X, to blow up the tower. Over the next few days, Robin became infatuated with the tower's luxuries as Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. slowly completed the mission. Eventually, the other Titans got wind of the privileges and accommodated themselves into the tower. Due to their disgusting habits, Gizmo declined Jinx's idea to ask them to leave and resolved to blow up H.I.V.E. Tower. He set the bomb for one minute, but was attacked by the Teen Titans until the destruction of their tower. Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. housed themselves inside Titans Tower which Robin later blew up.
Gizmo laughed in delight when the H.I.V.E. Five attempted another attempt at robbing the Jump City Bank. He noticed the charging Titans and quickly used his jet-pack to avoid Starfire's starbolts, and hid behind the H.I.V.E. monster truck which she later blew up.
As the H.I.V.E. prepared for a lengthy trip, Gizmo poured gas into the H.I.V.E. monster truck. However, the Titans deemed their actions as stealing and sprayed a puddle of water onto the street which they later drove on, splashing them with water. Later, when the H.I.V.E. monster truck broke down, the Titans pulled over and Cyborg offered Gizmo a ride to the mechanic. Gizmo agreed and remarked that it was kind of them. However, every time he approached the T-Car, Cyborg would drive further, frustrating Gizmo until he was covered in dirt and the Titans drove off. Somehow, they fixed the monster truck and pursued the Titans for revenge. Gizmo was in charge of pushing the buttons that activated the weapons equipped in the car. However, their attempts were foiled by Cyborg and Beast Boy, and Raven eventually threw up on their windshield, causing the monster truck to veer off the side of the road and explode against a rock.
Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. Five caught Robin outside their tower as he attempted to warn the Titans about their arrival with a whistle. They promptly defeated the Titans and kicked them out before they could discover what they were planning. While Robin trained with the Master of Whistles, Gizmo and the H.I.V.E. kidnapped the Titans and prepared to use a Death laser to destroy them. However, Robin intervened and used his newfound whistling skills to defeat the H.I.V.E. one by one. Gizmo fired the death laser at Robin, but he blew harder and shot Gizmo and the laser out of H.I.V.E. Tower.
Gizmo, along with Mammoth and Jinx, attempted to steal the Titans' newly built hot tub. As they made their getaway, they were confronted by the heroes. He was shocked to see Cyborg as a real boy named "Fleshy Guy" and Robin wearing Cyborg's discarded armor. After Robin slammed into the other Titans and knocked them into the ocean, Gizmo, Jinx, and Mammoth surrounded Fleshy Guy. However, he was defeated when Fleshy Guy picked him up and threw him into the hot tub. He flailed around the water, shouting that it was hot as Fleshy Guy celebrated his victory.
Throughout the series, Gizmo and his team continue confronting against the Titans. Although in rare occasions "Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Second Greatest Team Edition" he and his team would win against the Titans, most episodes have Gizmo and the H.I.V.E be defeated in the most humiliating ways possible.

Physical Appearance[]
Gizmo is a little shorter than the average five-year-old, standing at three feet and two inches, and weighs a bit above average at fifty-five pounds. He is bald, but grey stubble from his buzzed hair is shown in some episodes. His eyes are white and have no pupils. He also wears green goggles and a silver backpack containing all of his gadgets inside. His entire costume is a dark-green, one-piece suit with built in shoes.
Powers and Abilities[]
Gizmo lacks any superpowers, but demonstrates a clear understanding of mechanics which allows him to utilize several gadgets against his enemies. He is a mechanical genius as he is capable of creating a robot army and other weapons despite his young age. His inventing skills rival those of Cyborg's.
- Inventing: Gizmo is a technological genius capable of creating ultra high-tech devices.
- Hacking: His knowledge of computers and incredible hacking skills makes him a formidable foe for the Titans.
- Flying: Gizmo can fly when using his jet-pack.
- Technological Invisibility: In "Artful Dodgers", he was able to turn himself and his team invisible.
Personality[]
In the original series, Gizmo is seen as a snobbish, immature young boy who is short-tempered. However, in Teen Titans Go!, he hardly calls anyone, even his friends or the Teen Titans, names, in comparison to his personality in the original series. His nasty side is only shown on several occasions, such as in Go Fish! or "Opposites", where he bit Robin for laughing at him when he’s called five years old.
Gizmo is also shown to have good leading skills in comparison to Robin, not only being able to control his team without much of any problem, but is also capable of being a threat alone (being able to destroy Jump City with his robot army) then what he can mostly do with his team, showing he is very competent in inventing, making the Titans even have to use their Titan Robot.
