The Heavy Metal Demon is a minor villain who debuted in "Throne of Bones".
History[]
By playing a heavy metal record backwards, the Teen Titans unlocked a portal to the wicked-rocking Metal World. Moments after they arrived, a gigantic, electric guitar-playing entity started rising from the lava below... the Metal Lord! The demon declared Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire worthy of his kingdom, but Robin was sent away for his taste in jazz music.
When the superhero returned (all metaled up), the Titans had already proclaimed the Metal Lord their new leader. Robin wouldn't give up, though, so the demon attacked him with flying skulls and had him cross "The Pit." While these challenges didn't stop him, the Metal Lord managed to best Robin (and the other Titans) in an ax-shredding battle.
However, after Robin changed himself into Kenny G, the table turned--the Metal Lord soon succumbed to the smooth jazz and not long later it got turned into a baby.
Physical Appearance[]
To look like a heavy metal musician, the Metal Lord wears tattered, dark blue pants and a gray belt fastened with a skull. He also wears a spiny, dark blue leather jacket (with "METAL LORD" in red on the back), and spiked cuffs adorn the Metal Lord's wrists. The word "METAL" is tattooed across his bare, dark red chest. This demon's also got a severely ripped upper body and abs... but his skinny goat legs are somewhat disappointing. Red bat-like wings shoot out from the Metal Lord's back, and a long black mane runs down his head. His facial features are super intimidating: a left-eye scar, sick sideburns, terrifying teeth, and sunglasses that cover his blazing red eyes. Two horns shoot out from the Metal Lord's temples—and he's well over 100 feet tall. And as a cheery on top of this savage-looking sundae, he carries an ax-like electric guitar... so metal!
