Monsieur Mallah is an evil purple gorilla who is a member of the Brotherhood of Evil and serves as The Brain's sidekick. The episode "Brian" marked his entry into the series.
Bio[]
Season 2[]
In the episode "Brian," The Little Buddies arrive at The Brain's HQ building on the roof. Super Robin tries to fight against Monsieur Mallah, but he fails to beat him, and he and the rest of the little buddies get captured. However, the Little Buddies manage to escape and defeat Monsieur Mallah.
Season 3[]
In The Brain's newly refurbished lair in "40%, 40%, 20%", Monsieur Mallah was tasked with defeating Cyborg, who was harnessing energy from a song called The Night Begins to Shine. Although the destruction of Cyborg's cassette tape ended his music, the other Titans fueled his will to fight on by singing. Monsieur Mallah tried to slap him down in disgrace, but Cyborg overcame Mallah, and ended up delivering a devastating body slam to him.
In the episode "A Farce", Monsieur Mallah is the bailiff in the Titans' trial. He uses a Taser on Cyborg and Beast Boy when they won't be quiet during the trial.
Season 4[]
Mallah accompanies Brain in "Shrimps and Prime Rib" as his usual henchman.
Mallah has another a minor appearance in "Permanent Record", where he is seen teaching French in Starfire's language learning segment.
Season 7[]
In "A Doom Patrol Thanksgiving", Mallah appears with the Brain in Codsville's thanksgiving parade, obstructing the Doom Patrol from entering the parade. He later gets attacked and defeated by the Doom Patrol's float's dogs.
Season 8[]
After many non-speaking appearances, Mallah finally has his speaking role in "The Brain of the Family". He is forced to live with the Brain's younger brother Brian, who keeps ruining his life such as destroying parts of the house, bringing in a dangerous mutated animal, "borrowing" his money, and killing his beloved rose bushes. Mallah and Brain finally evict Brian after Brian destroys the super-suit by accident. However, with Brian misusing the suit instead of letting the Brain and Mallah use it as part of the Henchmen's playground, Mallah and the Brain resorted to begging the Titans' help by offering them with Mallah's croissants. However, the plan fails after Cyborg and Beast Boy admit about them and the other Titans holding back just for the croissants, Mallah and Brain descend into an argument with an angry Brian, until they all realize the Henchmen are losing control with Brian's motorcycle. Mallah initially didn't want to believe in Brian's plan to save the Henchmen, but reluctantly obliged. After witnessing how Brian's knitting expertise had saved the Henchmen, Mallah finally changed his mind about Brian, and he further reconciled with Brian, who used the Titans as a replacement flower bush.
Physical Appearance[]
With muscles bulging, Monsieur Mallah has a huge frame, capable of crushing his enemies. Unlike regular gorillas, his fur is an indigo shade. As far as equipment, Mallah carries a large ray gun with black grips and a bronze body on his back. A lime green belt is strapped across his chest, and also around his belt, which bears a buckle with The Brain insignia on it. He has a piercing yellow gaze, as well as a pink army beret that also boasts his boss's icon.
Personality[]
Mallah is the Brain's loyal henchman and right-hand man. Whenever he speaks, he is prone to use French vernacular. He has low tolerance for those who lack discipline and are rowdy.
Despite his rough edges, Mallah does have some tenderness, such as trimming his rose bushes. He is also a great cook, being able to bake high-quality croissants.

Trivia[]
- He is the second member of the Brotherhood of Evil to appear in the show.
- He is the twenty-first villain from the original series to return, as well as the fourth one to appear in a comic first before appearing in an episode.
- He was voiced by late Glenn Shadix in the original series, who also voiced The Brain, as well as Dee Bradley Baker in Young Justice.
- His design in Teen Titans Go! is different from the original series in a few ways:
- His fur was colored black instead of purple, and his skin was grayish-tan instead of lavender.
- He wears a beret, a sash and is armed with weapons, much like his appearance in the DC comics. This differs from his appearance from the original series, where he only sports a sash. His sash was also gray instead of green.
- He is not to be confused with Gorilla Grodd, another gorilla villain who is one of the main enemies of The Flash.
- Mallah has gone the longest without having a speaking role out of any recurring character in the series so far, being introduced in Season 2’s "Brian" and not having any speaking roles until Season 8’s "The Brain of the Family".
- Prior to this, it was shown in "Them Soviet Boys" that he was still capable of speech, as he is seen teaching Starfire French.
- Mallah is the eighth character who appeared in the original Teen Titans series to not have his original voice actor reprise his role (after Speedy, Killer Moth, The Brain, Kid Flash, Billy Numerous, Slade and Bumblebee).
- He is the ninth if Doctor Light in "Colors of Raven" is counted.
- Mallah and the Brain's close relationship and also having adopted the Brain's henchmen might be a reference to how their DC Comics counterparts are romantically involved.
