Nana also known as Magon is Trigon's mother, and grandmother to Raven, Russ, Lyle, and Suge.
Nana is a light amaranth demon with puffy light whitish red or pink hair and two yellow curved antler-like horns. She has four eyes that each pair has black spectacles. She usually wears a yellow shirt, purple pants and light green sandals.
Personality[]
Nana is depicted as an overly affectionate grandmother to her grandchildren, who also has many gross habits like bossing her family for mitigating her swollen feet. On the other hand, she is harsh and critical on her son Trigon, always believing he isn't amounting to anything and has a short fuse on him.
Despite being a demon who is senile and has questionable morals, Nana still deeply cares for her family no matter what.
History[]
The Titans got to meet Nana during Raven's sinister sixteen birthday party in "BBRAEBDAY". Nana began doting Raven who actually wasn't even keen on meeting her again, before scolding Trigon who had forgotten to bring her Epsom salts for her swollen feet. She and the other partygoers then get exterminated by Raven, but her demise is undone thanks to Beast Boy's wish.
During "The Great Azarathian Face Off", Nana became excited with the prospect of becoming Azarath's greatest conjurer under the invitation of her idol Mar, Gar, Ret, and got very competitive against her family and friends. She passed every round with flying colors, until she realized her own idol hosted the competition as a trap to eat her. Initially, Nana and her family and friends were in a pinch against Mar, Gar and Ret, but they finally managed to kill of Mar, Gar and Ret for good thanks to Raven, and Nana got to become the greatest conjurer that she had always dreamed of.
Raven first alluded her as a “succubus who eats peoples souls”, but it is unknown if Nana's actual categorization is a succubus or not.
According to Nana herself in "The Great Azarathian Face Off", she used to cast spells onto her victims to turn them into amphibians.
Nana as Trigon's mother is shown as a demoness, but her counterpart from New Earth is said to be a female human who's a member of a mystic sect and her son's counterpart from Prime Earth is created by the Divine so she doesn't exist at all in the DC Comics universe.
