The Titans decide to not produce a Halloween special this year, but soon discover that they may not have a choice.

This is the 11th Halloween-themed episode of the series, and the first one that does not premiere in October.
This is another one of the episodes where the fourth wall is demolished. In this case, this episode specifically talks about network cancellation of the show and how the series is contracted to have a mandatory Halloween special.

All the characters seen from the glitching are from Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation.
Near the end of the episode, the show gets cancelled and it cuts to an episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy airing in progress. The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is another show that aired on Cartoon Network. The actual clip is not from the show Billy & Mandy itself, but from the spin-off movie Underfist: Halloween Bash.
Once the Titans get bitten and reduced to a pixelated box, it's in a very similar fashion to Learning With Pibby, a now-cancelled series from Cartoon Network's late night block, Adult Swim
Several horror movie references are sprinkled in this episode:
- The Glob is based on the 1988 movie The Blob,
- The Creeper the 2002 movie The Ring,
- The Kiddies Of The Cobb Stephen King's Children of The Corn, and
- Robin being sucked into his bed on Glen's death in 1984's A Nightmare on Elm Street.
